Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for fixing, maintaining, and improving site equipment to ensure optimal performance. This role involves completing both reactive and preventative maintenance tasks, managing defect tickets in the CMMS system, and supervising contractors to ensure site standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment including automated conveying systems and refrigeration plant.
• Identify and rectify defects, recording all actions in the maintenance manual and CMMS system.
• Conduct minor structural and electrical improvement works.
• Provide reactive support and breakdown response to ensure timely completion of work.
• Supervise contractors to ensure works are completed in accordance with specifications.
• Work with the maintenance shift manager to manage task volumes and identify plant efficiency issues.
• Flag low stock levels to maintain inventory within min-max levels.
