About the role

Quantum Motion is a quantum computing start-up developing processors based on industrial-grade silicon chips. This role sits within the IC Design team to architect, build, and maintain custom process design kits and physical verification enablements. The successful candidate will serve as a bridge between foundry technologies, custom cryogenic silicon devices, and the circuit design group.

Responsibilities

  • Develop custom PDK elements from scratch, including schematic symbols, layout SKILL PCells, and custom DRC and LVS decks.
  • Develop, qualify, and maintain custom Calibre SVRF rule decks for non-standard layout constraints and cryogenic CMOS considerations.
  • Integrate tier-1 foundry PDKs into Cadence Virtuoso by creating customized library extensions, layer maps, and device callbacks.
  • Collaborate with IC designers and layout engineers to establish best practices for physical verification and layout automation.
  • Document work for peer review and evaluate the layout and enablement work of other team members.
