Lead Mechatronics and Systems Engineer

About the role

The Lead Mechatronics and Systems Engineer will own the London capture site for integrated human and non-human motion-capture and neurophysiological recording systems. This operational role focuses on setting up and running hardware, enforcing capture protocols, and ensuring that lab and field data collection sessions are executed reliably and reproducibly.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain streamlined, minimal capture protocols
• Import and operationalize best-practice standards for human mocap
• Prepare and run recording sessions
• Maintain clear SOPs and documentation
• Set up and maintain motion-capture and neurophysiological recording systems
• Integrate all devices on a shared clock
• Troubleshoot signal, sync, and capture-quality issues
• Oversee lab layout and capture-space setup
