Lead ML Engineer

About the role

Cofinity-X is seeking a Lead ML Engineer to guide their Machine Learning team and advance sovereign AI in Europe. The role involves architecting AI model training, setting the technical roadmap, and collaborating with product teams to integrate innovation into sovereign dataspace technology. You will also be responsible for building and mentoring a high-performing team of engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Machine Learning team and contribute to the development of sovereign AI in Europe
• Architect the training and fine-tuning of AI models using sovereign dataspace technology
• Set the technical direction for the ML roadmap and integrate AI innovation into dataspace technology
• Support Product Management in evaluating and defining AI/ML architectures for target products
• Recruit, lead, mentor, and inspire a team of highly skilled ML engineers
• Partner with HR to scale the team through active sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
• Work with dataspace technology experts and product teams
• Contribute to open-source projects

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related discipline
• PhD in a related discipline
• 7+ years of experience in Machine Learning
• 3+ years of experience leading technical projects and people
