About the role
Project Q is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the hardware strategy for their mission devices. You will work end-to-end from user discovery and prototyping through hardware build cycles to field deployment. The role focuses on creating robust devices that operate effectively in contested environments.
Responsibilities
- Spend time with end users in their operating environment to understand their workflows in depth.
- Validate assumptions about value, usability, feasibility and viability through prototypes, bench tests and field trials.
- Maintain an outcome-focused roadmap aligned to hardware build cycles, firmware releases and OTA update pipelines.
- Define requirements and field metrics for each device, including detection performance, energy efficiency and mission endurance.
- Make sure devices integrate with Hydris and interoperate with third-party systems through industry standards and protocols.
- Act as the main source of product context and the product's champion for the team, leadership and customers.
- Write clear PRDs and decision records, and mentor teammates on discovery practice and hardware-software trade-offs.

Qualifications
- Degree in electrical, mechanical or systems engineering, robotics or a related field
- Equivalent hands-on experience bringing hardware products from prototype to production
- Eligibility for German security clearance (SÜ2)
