Academic Dean

About the role

The Academic Dean leads the instructional team and serves as the authority on academic standards, student conduct, and attendance compliance at MiaPrep Online Academy of Ohio. This role involves supervising and coaching teachers, managing academic data, and coordinating state testing. The Dean works closely with the Student Support team to ensure student success and contributes to schoolwide strategy.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise instructional staff through weekly coaching, goal setting, and performance reviews.
• Manage the student conduct process, including investigations and documentation of academic integrity cases.
• Oversee truancy and attendance compliance in accordance with Ohio law.
• Analyze school-level data to identify trends and implement instructional strategies.
• Serve as the testing coordinator for Ohio state assessments and school-administered testing.
• Design and lead professional development sessions for the instructional team.
• Act as the primary point of contact between the instructional team and the Content team regarding curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree
