Senior Quality Manager

About the role

The Engineering Quality Manager will own the quality backbone of an aerospace company, ensuring that the design organization maintains compliance with applicable standards and best practices. This role involves leading the development and oversight of the quality system, managing design supplier qualification, and driving continuous improvement across all design, qualification, and certification activities.

Responsibilities

• Establish, document, develop, and manage the Quality System to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs.
• Support and guide engineering departments in the definition and implementation of efficient processes.
• Oversee design supplier qualification, categorization, and ongoing performance monitoring.
• Maintain and enhance the quality system, including document control, change management, and compliance monitoring.
• Monitor compliance of internal processes with established industry standards and certification authority requirements.
• Plan, conduct, and document internal and external audits in line with established processes.
• Track and follow up on audit findings and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, external auditors, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in military or civil aviation or aerospace quality and compliance
• Experience in highly quality driven industries such as automotive or energy with hands-on experience in the aviation industry
