Product Design Manager

About the role

The Product Design Manager will lead and develop the Product Design team, focusing on raising the quality of work and ensuring design has a significant influence on product direction. This is a dedicated management role responsible for coaching designers, design engineers, and researchers, as well as managing performance and hiring. The role involves maintaining a holistic view of the product experience to address complex design challenges as the company scales its AI orchestration platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the team through regular 1:1s and coaching across different seniority levels.
• Own performance management, including evidence-based reviews and feedback.
• Hire and onboard new designers to support team growth.
• Set and maintain high standards for problem framing, user understanding, and visual craft.
• Facilitate design critiques and reviews to improve output and team autonomy.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to contribute to problem definition and product strategy.
