About the role

smartmicro is seeking a visionary Software Architect to lead the technical design and strategy for its software portfolio. The role involves defining architectural roadmaps, leading high-level system design for embedded and cloud platforms, and establishing technical standards across the organization. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions for high-performance radar and sensor technology.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain a comprehensive architectural roadmap for software products
• Lead the high-level design of software systems including embedded firmware and cloud interfaces
• Act as the primary expert for architectural questions and technical challenges
• Establish and enforce technical standards, design patterns, and best practices
• Collaborate with Product Owners and engineers to translate requirements into technical solutions
• Evaluate, prototype, and recommend new technologies and frameworks
