Lead Supply Chain

About the role

The Exploration Company is seeking a Lead Supply Chain to manage operational purchasing and direct material procurement across its international locations. The role involves leading the direct material procurement team, overseeing the procure-to-pay process, and ensuring materials and services are delivered on time while maintaining strict aerospace quality standards. You will balance purchasing support with operational controls to protect delivery schedules for key programs like Nyx Earth.

Responsibilities

• Manage supplier relationships for commodities and standard parts.
• Monitor order confirmations, lead times, and delivery commitments, coordinating recovery actions when necessary.
• Lead operational procure-to-pay activities and ensure purchase orders reflect approved requirements and contractual conditions.
• Maintain reliable purchasing data in the ERP system and coordinate with logistics, quality, and finance teams.
• Implement purchasing controls to support EN9100 requirements and ensure traceability.
• Allocate purchasing workload across locations based on program priorities and delivery risks.
• Lead and develop direct material procurement managers across multiple international locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Operations or a related field
• Equivalent practical experience
• Significant experience in operational purchasing or supply chain management within aerospace, manufacturing or another controlled technical environment
• Experience managing teams across multiple locations
