About the role

The Head of Engineering for Optimisation & Control will lead the mathematical and algorithmic engine of the KrakenFlex platform. This senior leadership role involves managing teams to architect a performant, modular optimisation core that balances real-time computational efficiency with system reliability. You will drive technical vision, influence cross-team strategy, and ensure the scalability of our global energy grid solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor engineering leads and senior individual contributors across multiple squads.
• Maintain the technical vision and architecture for the Optimisation & Control domain.
• Ensure services are owned, maintained, and aligned with sustainable growth and product strategy.
• Drive initiatives to improve system quality, resilience, and stability while reducing technical debt.
• Influence decision-making across teams to ensure product features are scalable and cost-effective.
