Head of Security

About the role

Tremendous is seeking its first Head of Security to own the company's security posture end-to-end. This player-coach role involves assessing security gaps, driving implementation, and building a security team as the function matures. You will report to the VP of Engineering and work to integrate security practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Own Tremendous' security posture end-to-end, partnering with the engineering team on production infrastructure and code security.
• Assess security gaps, prioritize them, and tackle high-leverage issues.
• Treat incident response as a core function to ensure breaches are contained and managed effectively.
• Drive security as a cultural shift across the company by working collaboratively with teams.
• Lead the company's AI-security posture to manage risk while enabling innovation.
• Define staffing requirements and hire a security team.
