Head of Security

About the role

Tremendous is seeking its first Head of Security to own the company's security posture end-to-end. This player-coach role involves hands-on implementation, strategic prioritization, and eventually building and leading a security team. You will report to the VP of Engineering and work closely with the engineering team to integrate security practices into production infrastructure and code.

Responsibilities

• Own Tremendous' security posture end-to-end, partnering with the engineering team on production infrastructure and code security.
• Assess security gaps, prioritize them, and tackle high-leverage issues.
• Treat incident response as a core function to ensure breaches are contained and managed effectively.
• Drive security as a cultural shift across the company by introducing controls incrementally.
• Lead the company's AI-security posture to manage risk while enabling innovation.
• Define when and how to staff up the security function and hire your own team.
