Head of Security

About the role

Tremendous is seeking its first Head of Security to own the company's security posture end-to-end. This is a player-coach role where you will initially perform hands-on security work while defining the strategy and future team structure. You will report to the VP of Engineering and work closely with the engineering team to implement security controls and drive a security-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Own Tremendous' security posture end-to-end, partnering with the engineering team on production infrastructure and code security.
• Assess security gaps, prioritize them, and tackle high-leverage issues.
• Treat incident response as a core function to ensure breaches are contained and managed effectively.
• Drive security as a cultural shift across the company by working collaboratively with teams.
• Lead the company's AI-security posture to manage risk while enabling innovation.
• Define when and how to staff up the security function and hire your own team.
