About the role

Proxima Fusion is developing the world's first commercial stellarator fusion power plant and is seeking a skilled technician to bring complex, first-of-a-kind hardware to life. • Assemble, install, align, and commission new equipment, supporting factory and site acceptance tests.
  • Work with multiple teams to distinguish machine faults from setup, material, process or measurement problems.
  • Work with controls and manufacturing engineering to tune equipment, including winding tension, motion, vacuum and thermal profiles.
  • Identify wear early, flag long-lead items and communicate to the lead technician.
