Staff Technical Product Manager

About the role

Scale is seeking a Staff Technical Product Manager to join the Global Public Sector team and lead product development for defense and national security customers. This role involves hands-on technical leadership, shaping product roadmaps, and working closely with engineering and ML teams to build AI-powered solutions for complex defense workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the product roadmap and execution for one or more product areas within Global Defense.
• Write specs, prototype solutions, and engage in technical architecture discussions with engineering teams.
• Design and ship AI-powered products and tooling for defense and national security workflows.
• Use customer context to inform product decisions and build opinionated solutions.
• Navigate unique constraints of defense product development, including classification environments and air-gapped deployments.
• Operate as a founding team member to drive outcomes across engineering, operations, and go-to-market.
