About the role

As an IT Systems Engineer, you will own the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure in Darmstadt, ensuring that systems are reliable, secure, and efficient. You will balance systems engineering responsibilities with end-user support while collaborating with global teams to build a scalable IT environment.
Responsibilities
- Own the operation and maintenance of IT systems and infrastructure including MDM, endpoint security, cloud services, and access management.
- Lead automation and scripting initiatives to reduce manual work and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding IT execution including account provisioning and device readiness.
- Maintain and improve security baselines through MFA enforcement, patch management, and security event response.
- Build and maintain system documentation, configuration records, and operational runbooks.
- Identify recurring incidents and implement lasting technical solutions.
- Contribute to IT improvement projects such as cloud service migration and EDR rollout.
- Provide end-user support while coordinating shared infrastructure with the wider IT team.
