About the role
SE3 Labs is seeking a Staff Computer Vision Engineer to lead technical direction for their perception stack, including object detection, tracking, semantic segmentation, and depth estimation. This is a hands-on role where you will spend approximately 80% of your time building systems for autonomous platforms in the defense sector. You will work closely with technical founders and engineers to turn research into field-ready solutions.
Responsibilities
- Shape the architecture of the perception stack and drive core algorithmic decisions.
- Build object detection and multi-object tracking systems for real mission data.
- Develop semantic segmentation and depth estimation models for downstream autonomy.
- Design evaluation and replay loops with clear metrics, benchmarks, and regression tests.
- Optimize models for onboard compute and conduct field trials.
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and mentor engineers through design and code reviews.
