About the role
DuckDuckGo is seeking a Senior Privacy Engineer to join their remote-first team and lead complex projects across company-wide objectives. You will own major components of privacy technology, participate in privacy review and audit processes, and mentor other engineers. The role requires end-to-end ownership of projects from scoping and execution to postmortem.
Responsibilities
- Design systems for improving search indexes and AI features without compromising user privacy
- Build new features on top of the Tracker Radar crawler to detect emerging privacy threats
- Implement and maintain privacy features such as Web Tracking and Email Protections
- Participate in privacy review and audit processes to ensure product alignment with privacy principles
- Mentor other engineers to support their career growth and the growth of the Privacy Team
