Senior Backend Developer (Elixir)

About the role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will help evolve the Tellent Recruitee applicant tracking system by building reliable and scalable solutions. You will work within a collaborative team to modernize the existing codebase and develop new capabilities while balancing technical quality with user needs. The role requires a product mindset and a focus on pragmatic problem-solving to ensure a stable experience for thousands of global customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and improve reliable, scalable backend solutions for the core Applicant Tracking System.
• Develop new capabilities while modernizing and improving the existing codebase.
• Design and implement solutions that balance technical quality with customer and business needs.
• Take ownership of features, ensuring they are well-tested and maintainable.
• Investigate and resolve bugs to maintain platform stability.
• Participate in technical discussions and contribute to system design and architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Frontend, Design, QA, and DevOps.
• Participate in pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
