Senior Software Engineer

About the role

NetBox Labs is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong DevOps experience to build and drive NetBox Enterprise, their on-premises product suite. You will own the installation, configuration, and lifecycle management for customers while tackling complex technical challenges and addressing deployment issues unique to on-prem environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-availability solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement Kubernetes-based, high-availability on-premises solutions.
• Extend and maintain the Kubernetes operator for installation, upgrades, and self-healing.
• Develop and maintain the operational management console and associated tools.
• Architect and implement robust multi-stage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
• Drive releases on a six-week cadence including versioning and release management.
• Write Rust and Python across the stack for operator internals, tooling, and APIs.
• Build internal tooling and APIs to facilitate integration testing.
• Develop comprehensive documentation and establish best practice guidelines for deployments.
• Serve as Engineering Guardian to field escalations and resolve deployment issues.
