Senior Software Engineer, Agentic Customer Platform

About the role

Samsara is building an agentic platform designed to understand operational context and take autonomous action. This role involves developing foundational capabilities for agentic experiences, including data discovery, tool usage, and system integration at enterprise scale. You will work on critical infrastructure, reporting engines, and developer platforms while leveraging AI assistants to enhance engineering productivity.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational capabilities for agentic experiences, enabling AI agents to securely discover data, use tools, integrate with external systems, and execute reliable workflows.
• Design systems for high throughput, availability, observability, security, and maintainability.
• Apply AI assistants across design, implementation, testing, debugging, and code review.
• Improve frameworks, tooling, and engineering practices to increase team effectiveness.
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy.
• Champion and embed cultural principles while scaling globally.
• Hire, develop, and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team.
