Founding Engineer

About the role

As a Founding Engineer at SANOVIO, you will play a key role in building AI-powered procurement infrastructure for the European healthcare sector. This role requires a full-stack generalist with strong frontend affinity to design user flows, implement them in React and TypeScript, and own outcomes across backend, data, and cloud deployment. You will work closely with the founders to shape the product and scale the company.

Responsibilities

• Owning end-to-end product workflows from frontend UX to backend systems and data pipelines
• Building frontend experiences in React and TypeScript alongside scalable backend systems
• Designing and owning AI-enabled systems including embeddings, retrieval, and agents
• Developing and operating data pipelines for large-scale unstructured data
• Making pragmatic technical decisions on architecture, tools, and frameworks
• Deploying, running, and maintaining software in cloud environments
• Writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with scalable components and APIs
• Collaborating across the stack and raising the engineering bar through reviews and leadership
