Payroll Manager

About the role

AppLovin is seeking a driven Payroll Manager to own global payroll operations across the US and key international markets. This hands-on leadership role involves building compliance frameworks, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate, scalable payroll processing. You will serve as the subject matter expert on payroll tax and statutory compliance while partnering with Finance, Accounting, and HR teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing across the US and international entities in Singapore, Germany, Ireland, Cyprus, and Italy.
• Manage relationships with external payroll vendors and in-country service providers to ensure quality standards.
• Maintain deep knowledge of payroll tax obligations and ensure timely filing of all tax returns and statutory reports.
• Process and reconcile equity-related payroll events including RSU vesting, ESPP, and stock option exercises.
• Monitor integrations between Workday HCM and payroll systems while maintaining strong internal controls.
• Support month-end close activities including journal entries, headcount reconciliations, and accruals.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for payroll-related matters across Finance, Accounting, HR, and Legal.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-country environment
