Cloud Engineer

About the role

RobCo is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their Infrastructure & Data team to lead GitLab and GitOps best practices. You will own the development of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and scalable infrastructure workflows while collaborating on cloud environments like GCP and AWS. This role offers the opportunity to work on robotics infrastructure and grow your technical expertise within a fast-growing scale-up.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain GitOps workflows so that Git is the single source of truth for our infrastructure and application deployments.
• Manage promotion flows across environments (dev, production) and out to edge devices.
• Write and maintain Terraform (or similar IaC) for our AWS environment, delivered through pull requests, reviews, and automated pipelines.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI) that test, validate, and deploy changes safely.
• Help keep our platform reliable: set up monitoring, alerting, and dashboards, take part in incident response, and contribute to post-mortems.
• Apply software security best practices in your day-to-day work.
• Automate repetitive operational work and write small tools or services where they help.
• Support engineering teams with deployments, environment setup, and cost visibility.
