About the role

The Payment Performance team is looking for a Golang engineer to help optimize payment success rates for global merchants. You will work on high-performance, reliable routing algorithms that combine machine learning and manual knowledge to modify payment parameters in real-time. This role involves balancing high-throughput system requirements with long-term infrastructure planning.

Responsibilities

• Drive and support software and infrastructure engineers working on proprietary algorithms
• Uphold high standards for uptime and latency requirements
• Work with data scientists to modify the platform and algorithms for improved results
• Assist in hiring and developing engineers on the team
• Participate in on-call rotations and handle incident response processes
• Make planning decisions for long-term infrastructure vision and quality
• Maintain high quality standards for code, infrastructure, and documentation
• Contribute to designing, developing, and delivering new product features
