Software Deployment Engineer

About the role

The Software Deployment Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end delivery, configuration, installation, and support of warehouse execution and control systems. This role manages project-level system commissioning, hardware coordination, database scripting, and formal testing independently. It serves as the primary owner for new installations, version upgrades, and live troubleshooting across both on-site and remote project phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead software commissioning of warehouse execution systems and peripheral hardware at customer sites.
• Perform full-scope installation of pick-to-light and overhead illuminator systems, including wiring and functional testing.
• Conduct Installation Qualification and User Acceptance Testing, including documentation and customer sign-off.
• Execute Kommand version upgrades and production troubleshooting, often after business hours to minimize downtime.
• Translate business requirements into system configurations, network settings, and parameters.
• Configure and support project-specific sandbox and production environments for customer testing and go-live.
• Participate in on-call rotations for system escalations and provide post-go-live support.
