About the role

The Director of Mobile and Web Platform will lead the Client Engineering organisation, overseeing core architecture, engineering productivity, and quality engineering. This role is responsible for the technical direction and standards of Tide's frontend ecosystem, ensuring it remains a competitive advantage through performant, maintainable, and scalable solutions. You will partner with Staff Engineers and Engineering Managers to solve complex technical challenges and drive delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Staff Engineers to drive a pragmatic frontend strategy and resolve bottlenecks in large-scale monorepo workflows.
• Evaluate the current technical stack and workforce model to maximize engineering leverage.
• Advocate for systems that provide global visibility into the product experience across all configurations.
• Implement a comprehensive automation strategy for a modern Release Engineering model.
• Provide thought leadership on leveraging AI and agentic solutions within the client-side experience.
