Product Data Engineer

About the role

As the first dedicated data hire at Langdock, you will own the path from raw data to trusted decisions by sitting between product and engineering. You will combine data engineering, analytics engineering, and product analytics to turn existing foundations into a reliable data system that the company can trust. This role requires deep product context to model ambiguous data correctly while building dependable technical systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and model metrics to ensure company metrics are trustworthy and consistent across teams.
• Develop models of product usage to track activation, adoption, retention, and customer health.
• Own the data platform in production, including ingestion pipelines, warehouse models, and data quality checks.
• Partner with product squads to evaluate product changes and identify opportunities through data analysis.
• Improve product instrumentation by identifying data blind spots and designing new events.
• Create self-service foundations such as documentation and dashboards to enable teams to answer recurring questions.
