People Operations Executive

About the role

The People Operations Executive will manage the end-to-end monthly payroll for German employees and serve as the primary point of contact for payroll, benefits, and lifecycle inquiries. This role involves ensuring compliance with German employment regulations, maintaining accurate HR data, and improving administrative processes through automation and AI tools. The position is a fixed-term contract supporting a specific German project for 6-12 months.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end processing of monthly German payroll from input gathering to reconciliation.
• Act as the primary contact for the German payroll provider and ensure compliance with local tax and social security legislation.
• Serve as the first responder for German employee queries regarding payroll, benefits, and lifecycle matters.
• Administer benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and provider liaison.
• Manage the employee lifecycle for Germany, including onboarding, offboarding, and contractual documentation.
• Maintain accurate people data in the HRIS and produce reports to support decision-making.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reliability.
