VAT Senior Manager

About the role

The VAT Senior Manager will play a key role in building and growing a new, entrepreneurial VAT practice. This position involves providing technical VAT advice, managing complex client engagements, and contributing to the development of the practice's service offerings and technology capabilities. The role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to influence the strategic direction of the team.

Responsibilities

• Support and oversee the delivery of complex UK and international VAT advisory and compliance engagements.
• Manage a varied portfolio of VAT work, determining appropriate approaches and identifying client risks and opportunities.
• Contribute to the development of VAT technology capabilities, including ERP systems, tax engines, and automation.
• Proactively engage in business development activities to identify new opportunities and grow the practice.
• Collaborate with senior team members to shape the practice's propositions, processes, and ways of working.
