Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer in the Meter Data Management team, you will combine hands-on development with technical ownership for a performance-critical product. You will provide technical direction, guide solution design, and coordinate technical dependencies to ensure high standards for performance, quality, and reliability. This role involves managing large data volumes within the ZONOS ecosystem and facilitating migrations between customer systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and guide decisions from requirements through reliable delivery.
• Own solution design, APIs, integrations, data flows, non-functional requirements, and technical risks.
• Develop and improve scalable software for high-volume, performance-critical data processing.
• Guide migrations between customer systems, including data transfer, validation, and reconciliation.
• Coordinate technical dependencies between Product, Platform, Operations, QA, DevOps, Security, and Architecture.
• Define and promote standards for performance, data quality, testing, maintainability, and operational reliability.
• Coach and support engineers through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and constructive technical feedback.
