About the role
Netholabs is seeking a hands-on Product Manager to transition their neural and behavioural recording prototypes into reproducible, manufacturable, and remotely updatable products. You will own R&D delivery, collaborating with engineering teams to scale hardware production and establish best-practice data capture protocols. This role requires a blend of technical oversight, supplier management, and product lifecycle ownership to ensure systems are field-deployable and robust.
Responsibilities
- Take working prototypes to shippable, field-deployable systems by defining the product, owning the roadmap, and driving delivery.
- Specify and build out over-the-air update infrastructure including firmware, versioning, rollback, and fleet management.
- Own the design-for-manufacture transition including DFM/DFA reviews, BOM ownership, and production test protocols.
- Identify, qualify, and manage contract manufacturers and suppliers from RFQ through NPI to sustained production.
- Establish and enforce best-practice data capture protocols across modalities to ensure consistent data quality.
- Define requirements for in-the-wild collection including wearability, robustness, and battery life.
- Build quality, documentation, and regulatory groundwork appropriate to a research-device product.
