Backend Engineer

About the role

The Repeats team is looking for a backend engineer to own the services that determine loan eligibility, pricing, and borrowing amounts for repeat customers. You will work on the core lending decision systems and contribute to the full development lifecycle, from technical design to production monitoring. Over time, the role will evolve to include front-end responsibilities as you grow into a full-stack position.

Responsibilities

• Own backend features end-to-end, from design through to shipping and monitoring in production.
• Re-architect the flex-loan repeat offer pipeline.
• Maintain and support core services including the lending_decision app, pricing services, and customer account pages.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and Analytics to build technical solutions.
• Write clean, well-tested Python code and participate in code reviews.
• Pick up front-end work using React and TypeScript to own features end-to-end.

Qualifications
