Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

About the role

PM Pediatric Care is seeking a child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our virtual Behavioral Health Program. This role provides comprehensive behavioral health services for conditions such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and conduct disorders in an extended virtual model.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and assess mental and behavioral health disorders for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients
• Collaborate with the therapist team and medical leadership to discuss patient treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests when appropriate
• Conduct patient history and initial evaluations
• Prescribe medications as part of the treatment regime
• Provide medication management and counseling
• Educate patients and parents on medication side effects and usage
• Document patient visits in the electronic medical record
• Provide supervision to psychiatric nurse practitioners

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree with appropriate licensing
• Board eligible or board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry
• Experience working with children and adolescents
