Bioinformatics Software Engineer

About the role

The Bioinformatics Software Engineer will drive the flow cytometry data engineering infrastructure, annotation pipelines, and model registry operations for a clinical biomarker discovery platform. This role focuses on translating high-dimensional data into reproducible, production-grade features while ensuring compliance with MedDev ML standards. The engineer will manage model lifecycles, enforce data integrity, and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to support precision medicine development.

Responsibilities

• Execute automated cell annotation workflows on large-scale cytometry datasets and generate quality-control reports.
• Establish and lock baseline models and numerical stability criteria for feature extraction pipelines.
• Manage the formal model lifecycle registry, including versioning, freezing, and locking gating ensembles.
• Refit machine learning models on expanded cohorts and execute final model freezing prior to clinical evaluations.
• Ensure full reproducibility by pinning environment specifications and logging all hyperparameters.
• Serve as a primary code reviewer to enforce strict data leakage controls and modular coding standards.
• Participate in traceability audits and regulatory compliance verification.

Qualifications
