About the role

The Senior Software Engineering Manager will lead engineering across two domains within the Global Billing, Payments & API team. This role involves owning technical and product strategy, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and overseeing people-leader responsibilities for multiple teams. The position is central to the company's shift toward a shared global core platform for billing and payments.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering across two GBPA domains through complex, ambiguous, cross-squad initiatives.
• Own technical and product strategy across both domains simultaneously.
• Diagnose systemic and organisational issues using deep domain knowledge.
• Manage cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Delivery, and adjacent engineering teams to align roadmap and trade-offs.
• Carry full people-leader ownership for both teams including goal-setting, performance and pay conversations, hiring and recruitment.
• Operate in a high-integrity data domain where reliability and reconciliation are prioritized.
