About the role

Empact is building a decentralized energy provider for the building sector to drive the transition toward a climate-neutral future. As a Project Engineer for Concept Development, you will independently develop energy concepts and feasibility studies for sustainable heat and energy supply solutions in early project phases. You will analyze system variants, perform technical calculations, and create decision-making foundations to support the company's mission of sustainable energy development.

Responsibilities

• Develop energy concepts and feasibility studies for sustainable heat and energy supply solutions in HOAI phases 1-2.
• Technically design heat pumps, heat sources, storage, energy centers, and heat/cooling networks.
• Analyze and compare system variants regarding technical feasibility, economic efficiency, and long-term implementation.
• Create technical decision-making foundations, cost estimates, system descriptions, and hydraulic diagrams.
• Consider funding opportunities such as BEW and BEG as well as relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate closely with project development, planning, and realization teams as well as external partners.
