Senior Software Engineer, Privacy Engineering

About the role

Discord is looking for a Senior Privacy Engineer to join their team in Amsterdam to shape how privacy is built into products and operations. The role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to conduct privacy impact assessments, design privacy-preserving solutions, and contribute to central privacy systems. You will act as a subject matter expert to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Discord's privacy principles.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to conduct privacy impact assessments and code and architecture reviews.
• Develop actionable data privacy policies to drive the creation and monitoring of controls.
• Design privacy-preserving product solutions and act as a privacy subject matter expert.
• Lead privacy impact analysis on production incidents and conduct technical validation on remediations.
• Shape and contribute to central privacy systems including automation and data subject rights fulfillment.
