AI Lead / Engineering Manager

About the role

This role is a player-coach position within the Usersnap team at saas.group, responsible for leading a small engineering team in building AI-driven product capabilities. You will set technical direction, write and review code, and define standards for AI-native development while ensuring reliable delivery and production quality. The role requires partnering with Product to sequence priorities and shipping AI-powered features from prototype to production.

Responsibilities

• Own team coordination, delivery timelines, workload allocation, and project follow-through for a small engineering team
• Break down ambiguous goals, sequence them with Product, and ensure commitments are met
• Provide clear, constructive technical feedback in code review, design discussions, and 1:1s
• Assess and raise the engineering bar, defining standards for observability, testing, security, and architecture
• Design, build, and ship AI-powered features alongside the team from prototyping through production
• Partner with company leadership on technical planning, resourcing, and sequencing
