Process Engineer - Semiconductor Processes

About the role

The Process Engineer will support the development, stabilization, and industrialization of semiconductor fabrication processes. This role bridges the gap between advanced R&D and production, focusing on transforming experimental building blocks into robust, scalable manufacturing workflows. The position requires a hands-on approach to process development, yield improvement, and equipment qualification within a cleanroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and stabilize semiconductor fabrication processes with a focus on ICP/RIE dry etching, PECVD, and metal evaporation.
• Validate and qualify new fabrication equipment and associated processes.
• Lead or contribute to Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and establish process controls.
• Act as a technical interface between R&D and production to ensure manufacturability and scalability.
• Monitor production process performance, yield, and throughput using statistical methodologies.
• Provide hands-on technical support to cleanroom operators and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Create and maintain comprehensive process documentation, including SOPs and qualification reports.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Semiconductor Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Micro/Nanotechnology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
