Engineering Team Lead, Serverless Containers

About the role

This is a people-leadership role where you will manage a team building a serverless containers product for a sovereign AI cloud. You will balance people management, including hiring and coaching, with hands-on architectural work and solving complex technical challenges. You will own the container platform end-to-end, focusing on scale-to-zero economics, cold start optimization, and GPU-backed container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Own the container platform end to end including image delivery, placement, request routing, and scaling across CPU and GPU.
• Solve cold start challenges through techniques like snapshotting, prewarming, and image-layer caching.
• Optimize for AI workloads including GPU-backed containers, streaming responses, and long-lived connections.
• Write Go code and lead architectural and implementation decisions.
• Mentor and grow engineers while setting standards for ownership.
• Manage team performance, hiring, and career growth paths.
• Partner with Product Managers to develop platform features for developers.
