Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

The Senior DevOps Engineer will join the engineering team to champion deployment architecture and platform maturity. This role involves optimizing day-to-day delivery across the on-premise estate while acting as the key engineering stakeholder to shape, configure, and roll out a new Kubernetes platform. The successful candidate will have autonomy over CI/CD pipelines, automated guardrails, and migration strategies to help the engineering team ship value to production safely and rapidly.

Responsibilities

• Utilise and contribute to Ansible-based deployment automation to facilitate seamless product feature releases.
• Monitor application-level health within the cluster and collaborate on incident response and post-mortems.
• Maintain clear documentation, deployment runbooks, and developer self-service guides.
• Collaborate with TechOps to shape engineering self-service workflows, guardrails, and standards for Kubernetes.
• Establish CI/CD workflows for Kubernetes-based deployments with automated guardrails.
• Partner with engineering teams to containerise and migrate existing workloads to Kubernetes.
