About the role
DuckDuckGo is seeking a Senior Privacy Engineer to join our remote-first team and lead complex projects that protect user privacy. You will own major components of our privacy technology, from design and execution to maintenance, while collaborating across the company to ensure product developments align with our privacy principles. This role involves working on search indexes, AI features, and privacy-focused tools like our tracker blocker.
Responsibilities
- Design systems for improving search indexes and AI features without compromising user privacy
- Build new features on top of our Tracker Radar crawler to detect emerging privacy threats
- Implement and maintain privacy features such as Web Tracking and Email Protections
- Participate in privacy review and audit processes to ensure alignment with privacy principles
- Mentor other engineers to support their career growth and the development of the Privacy Team
