Finance Assistant

About the role

The Finance Assistant will serve as the engine room of day-to-day finance operations, managing payables, cash, expenses, and collections across four international territories. This role offers the opportunity to gain experience in a scale-up finance function while supporting reporting and analysis tasks. The position reports to the Financial Controller and is designed as a platform for professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage the global accounts inbox, ensuring emails are prioritised, actioned and responded to promptly
• Act as a first point of contact for ad hoc finance queries from across the business
• Process supplier invoices and manage payment runs across our UK, German, US and Spanish entities
• Credit card and expense management
• Administer our virtual credit card platform
• Support employee expense processing and payment
• Support cash and banking, including daily bank postings and bank reconciliations
• Credit control: chase outstanding customer balances and maintain a clear, current aged debt position
• Allocate customer receipts accurately and keep the sales ledger clean
• Support the team with data collection and processing for ad hoc projects
