Team Lead Engineering - Platform

About the role

The Engineering Team Lead will guide a platform-focused team to build reliable, scalable shared services that empower product teams to deliver business features efficiently. This role involves technical leadership, strategic architectural decision-making, and hands-on coding to ensure the robustness of core platform services. The lead will act as a bridge between domain teams and the platform team, fostering a culture of ownership and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, hire, and develop a high-performing engineering team.
• Define and drive architectural decisions while contributing code to features and technical challenges.
• Champion the use of AI in engineering workflows and explore AI applications within platform capabilities.
• Establish and drive reliability practices, including monkey testing and load testing strategies.
• Manage the team's backlog, balancing reliability, technical debt, and business demands.
• Own core technical services such as Auth Service and API Gateway to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Collaborate with core domain teams to identify needs and provide reusable technical solutions.
