About the role
The Fraud team at Affirm Bank works cross-functionally to combat fraudulent activities and foster a safe platform. This role will lead the charge on refining identity verification and fraud processes for depository products while partnering with product and engineering teams to improve fraud solutions.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable data models and transformation pipelines to standardize depository product, transaction, customer, fraud, and operational data.
- Define trusted fraud performance metrics and analytical datasets including fraud loss rates, approval rates, and customer friction.
- Develop recurring dashboards, scorecards, and monitoring frameworks to provide visibility into fraud performance and portfolio health.
- Conduct deep-dive analyses to diagnose fraud losses, control gaps, and unexpected performance changes.
- Develop and optimize fraud rules, policies, thresholds, models, and decision strategies.
- Evaluate new data sources and signals to improve detection of identity, account takeover, device, and transaction risks.
- Lead testing and performance measurement of fraud strategy changes including rule launches and model updates.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, and Operations to improve fraud strategies and support new product launches.
