AI First Data Engineer

About the role

The AI First Data Engineer will develop modern data and AI solutions by building data pipelines and models using Databricks or Microsoft Fabric on Azure. This role involves leading AI-agent teams, managing project workflows, and collaborating directly with clients to deliver high-value analytics and AI implementations. The position requires a proactive mindset to integrate new AI tools and technologies into daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines and data models using Databricks or Microsoft Fabric on Azure.
• Clarify requirements directly with clients and develop suitable solution architectures.
• Lead AI-agent teams through development, testing, and documentation processes.
• Combine engineering expertise with specialized AI agents to create efficient workflows.
• Make data usable for clients through semantic models and Power BI reports.
• Experiment with new AI tools and technologies to continuously improve existing workflows.
