Software Engineer

About the role

Spire Global is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Satellite Developer Experience team to create and expand a software build, test, and deployment framework for their satellite constellation. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary engineering organization to design advanced testing frameworks and build automated software update pipelines for satellites in orbit. The role focuses on eliminating friction in the software development lifecycle through the creation of user-friendly tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain advanced testing frameworks for internal teams and external customers.
• Build and enhance an automated software update pipeline for satellites in orbit.
• Identify and eliminate friction points in the satellite software development lifecycle.
• Architect and implement the next-generation satellite software framework.
• Provide emergency operational support, fix bugs, and maintain existing code.
