About the role
The Exploration Company is seeking a Propulsion Test Engineer to lead the testing and analysis of innovative propulsion systems for their modular and reusable orbital vehicle, Nyx. You will be responsible for preparing and executing engine and component-level tests, ensuring safety through risk assessment, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to advance space transportation technology.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute tests at the engine and component level to evaluate hardware performance.
- Develop test plans, objectives, and schedules while leading daily test operations and generating reports.
- Lead risk assessment analyses and define mitigation actions to ensure personnel and hardware safety.
- Interpret P&IDs and generate test sequences while balancing test bench and article limits.
- Collaborate with development, AIT, and external teams to support test operations.
- Process test data to guide current and future test campaigns.
- Define and update test procedures and guidelines to improve operations.
- Prepare technical documentation including procedures, reports, and design reviews.
